Our dearest Crystal was born on August 22, 1985.   Weighing 6lbs 12 1/2oz.  She was 19 inches long.  She joined the Angels on July 14, 2005 at the young age of 19.

Crystal was the best baby anyone could have.  She started sleeping all night at two weeks old!  There wasnt anything she wouldnt try at least once.  Crystal had her first set of stitches at 9 months old.  She was climbing on the cabinet and I was watching her.  When she slipped and had a pen in her hand, well you can guess where that went.  Straight into her forehead.  The doctors had to put her in a straight jacket to put in the stitches. Of course she got out of that.  It took five people to hold her down.  She received 8 stitches across her forehead.  I felt so bad.

Well the second time was when she was three years old.  She was in daycare and she was going down the slide standing up!  Of course she fell and straight to the ground she went.  She bit her tongue half way in half.  I picked her up with in five minutes of them calling and off to the hospital we go.  The doctors were ready with another straight jacket.  She told them she didnt need that.  They took their chances and started to stitch up her tongue.  Everyone was amazed that she didnt move.  Of course by the time it was all done half the hospital was watching her.  She loved the attention.

When Crystal started elementary school, I got a call from the office, the first day, stating that Crystal had gotten into a fight and that I needed to pick her up.  When I got there, I went into the office and saw this cute little boy sitting there just crying his eyes out.  Well it turns out that was the kid she beat up!  I asked her why and she told me that he tried to kiss her.  Thats my girl, only if she would remember that when she got older.

I will never forget when she called me at work to tell me she was going to have a baby.  At first I was in shock, then really happy.  We didnt tell anyone right away.  She was so young.  Fifteen at the time.  Crystal reassured me that she was going to finish school and go onto college.  I will never forget the way she told her dad.  The circus was in town and she asked her dad to take her.  Yes at her age she still wanted to go to the circus.  Well at half time she told her dad he was going to be a grandpa.  Not sure if he even saw the rest of the circus, he was in shock.  He was very angry at her.  Then him and I had a really long talk and I understood how he felt.  But like I told him it is already done and now all she needs is his support.  After that he was bragging to everyone!

On April 11, Crystal was in alot of pain and she thought she was in labor.  Off to the hospital we went.  They checked her and sent her home.  Boy was she angry.  At about two the next morning she came to my bed and told me that her water had broke.  So off to the hospital we go again.  This time it was for real.  She was only dialated 2cm at the time and in alot of pain.  Her dad had to go to work to finish up a few things, after all it was going to be a while.  I have never felt so helpless when it came to my daughter.  She was in alot of pain and there was nothing I could do for her.  I was rubbing her back, giving her baths and just trying to do anything to take some of the pain away.  They finally gave her an epideral when she was 6cm.  I remember when the were doing that she had a contraction and she couldnt move.  Well I was holding her and she bit my shoulder, hard!   I still have the mark from that.  After it took affect, she was the happiest person in the whole world.

Crystal had her hospital room full of people during labor.   Finally at 6:20pm Brianna was born.  Crystal was so scared to hold her because she was still numb from the mediacation.  Talk about being proud, you should have seen her dad.  I have never seen that look on his face.  He was finally a grandpa.  He told Crystal that this baby was going to call him "Grandfather" and nothing else.  Well we all know how that all ended.  Pampa.

I dont think my husband slept for the first few months.  Every little noise he was up and checking on Crystal and Brianna.  He was always holding her and always had a smile on his face.  Talk about a proud Pampa.  She had him wrapped up around her little finger (just like Crystal) from the first time he layed his eyes on her.

Crystal continued to go to high school and also a technical school.  She actually graduated a semester early from high school! On the Honor roll!  Crystal received her Pharmacy Technician Certification in November 2003.  pinkglitter.jpg Pink Roses w Dove picture by CoysG

Brianna didnt slow her down at all.  Crystal continued to go to school.  She also had a full time job.   She wanted to become a forensics investigator or a dialasis operator.  Any and all extra time Crystal had was spent with Brianna.  I am so amazed at all the things they did together.  Crystal was and still is a great mother!

Crystal left behind her beautiful daughter Brianna, her mon Gail, dad Bonnie and many relatives and friends.  As long as I live her memory will live on and she will never be forgotten.

Crystals story has never been told before.  One of Crystals so called friends talked Crystal into going with her to visit some friends out of state.  I really didnt want Crystal to go and finally talked her into leaving Brianna with me.  Thank GOD!!  They were gone for a week.  Crystal phoned me everyday.  Crystal had called on July 14 to let me know they were on their way back.  I was so happy to hear that.   I talked to her at 9:15am and went on doing what ever I was doing at the time.

At 10:30 that morning a sherriff was knocking at my door.  I opened it and he asked if Crystal lived here.  Of course I said yes and thought to my self, what did they get into.  He asked to come in and for me to have a seat.  I thought to my self she was in big trouble.  He then told me that there had been a really bad fatal accident.  I just laughed at him and told him there must be some mistake because I had just talked to her.
